As founder of Ednetics, now an MGT company, Shawn Swanby brings more than two decades of technology innovation, entrepreneurship, and leadership to the organization. Since launching the company in Idaho in 1997, he has guided its growth into a trusted technology solutions provider serving education, government, and community organizations throughout the Pacific Northwest.
In addition to Ednetics, Shawn co-founded Fatbeam as Chief Technology Officer, helping scale the fiber and telecommunications company into one of the nation’s fastest-growing enterprises. Through Swanby Group, he continues to support emerging innovation and community-focused development projects.
Shawn is also deeply committed to education and community impact. In recognition of his contributions to Idaho’s public education community, the University of Idaho awarded him an honorary Doctor of Education in 2018.
