Cassandra Pencek is a seasoned education professional with over 23 years of experience in coaching, partnership management, and instructional leadership. With a Doctor of Education degree and an administrative license, Cassandra is dedicated to empowering educational leaders through coaching, data analysis, evidence-based instruction, and a steadfast focus on vision and goals.

Her expertise includes developing and leading professional development in the science of reading, leadership coaching, curriculum review, and mapping at the district level. Cassandra is also a franchise partner of a gym with her husband and is passionate about health and fitness. She is devoted to her two sons and enjoys supporting them at their sports events.

Cassandra earned a Bachelor of Science in Elementary and Early Childhood Education from Slippery Rock University and began her career as a kindergarten teacher in the Ft. LeBoeuf Area School District. She completed a Master of Education in Reading from Slippery Rock University while working for Step By Step Learning. In 2015, she obtained her K–12 Principal Certification from California University of Pennsylvania and started her administrative career as an elementary assistant principal and Title I Coordinator in the Seneca Valley School District. She later served as a middle school assistant principal and English Language Arts Department supervisor in the Fox Chapel Area School District. In 2019, Cassandra was appointed principal of Emily Brittain Community Partnership and Demonstration School in the Butler Area School District, where she and her team focused on community partnerships to meet the needs of families and students.

Cassandra earned high honors during her master’s program and successfully defended her doctoral dissertation in April 2020. She holds CERI certification through the International Dyslexia Association and serves as an Acadience mentor. She has led large-scale state and district initiatives focused on the implementation of the Science of Reading and change management, working with over 800 leaders in one state and hundreds more across multiple states. Her commitment to growth and development in education continues to guide her professional work.
