From Intention to Impact: Effectively Implementing High-Quality Instructional Materials (HQIM) in Texas Schools

This session examines the essential components of effective High-Quality Instructional Materials (HQIM) implementation through the lens of state expectations, district structures, and leadership systems. Participants will analyze a district case study from its first year of HQIM adoption to identify key drivers of success and common implementation challenges. Emphasis will be placed on aligning instructional systems, feedback cycles, and professional learning to ensure fidelity and impact. Attendees will leave with a clear understanding of the state’s HQIM framework, practical strategies for overcoming barriers, and tools to strengthen teacher capacity and instructional coherence within their own districts.
